Vera Wang has taken the wrappings off her Pre-Fall 2009 collection. Inspiration for this new collection was taken from the Gabrielle Chanel combined with feminine as well as masculine trends. She has taken her unusual style and created pieces that will become trendy hits.

She has taken playful dresses and gauzy tops, slim trousers, and lightweight knit cardigans and used textured fabrics and large than life brooches. Wang is offering sleeveless tunics that have been carefully gathered and imparts Wang’s insouciant sensibility that is combined with pants in different lengths. Each outfit has been given splashes of purple, orange, and red colors.

Nicole Miller’s Resort 2009 collection was presented in New York this week. The new line features a collection of resort wear that received its inspiration from the traditional prints from Bali. Miller applied this look to sarongs, dresses, swimwear, and crinkled silk tops.

Badgely Mischka’s new 2009 Cruise collection was presented this week by designers James Mischka and Mark Badgley. During their runway show in their New York office the two of them had high hopes and dreams of glamour on the high seas. They are thinking of designing a new line for those who love to spend their time on the beach. They are thinking the look should be from the ‘50’s.
