Only Marc Jacobs can combine just the right amount of sensual attitude and energy in an edgy fashion design. It was just the right thing that the Paris fashion season needed and will be the next best thing that he has created for his 2009 spring collection for Louis Vuitton.
Jacobs showed off his collection on a custom built LV tent inside the Louvre museum’s Coure Carree. It was clear that he wanted to make an impression and a statement and he succeeded.
The models came out on the catwalk in mini knickers and leotards that were emblazoned with the LV logo. Each model wore a variety of African accoutrements that displayed giat Maori styled pendants, Leopard print bracelets, and too much make-up. He also had them dressed up in mini skirts to show that they are making a comeback. Jacobs called the look, “Petite Princesse Parisienne.”
