The Fontainbleau Hotel was more then happy to play host to the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on Saturday night. The show used old fashioned Hollywood glamour at the renovated resort. The reason they chose this particular hotel was due to its heritage and glamour past.
During the 1950’s and 1960’s the hotel was a nightclub for Frank Sinatra and the film location for Jerry Lewis’ ‘The Bellboy’. Even Sean Connery used the pool to swim in as James Bond in ‘Goldfinger’.

Vera Wang showed off her 2009 Fall bridal collection and in it were many dresses that reminded us of the age of romanticism. Wang took the traditional look of the wedding dress and turned it into something unique and wonderful. Only Marc Jacobs can combine just the right amount of sensual attitude and energy in an edgy fashion design. It was just the right thing that the Paris fashion season needed and will be the next best thing that he has created for his 2009 spring collection for Louis Vuitton.
Jacobs showed off his collection on a custom built LV tent inside the Louvre museum’s Coure Carree. It was clear that he wanted to make an impression and a statement and he succeeded.

Victoria Beckham will be busy all this week as she launches her new clothing line, hairstyle, and fashion trends. And as we all know fashion is something that Mrs. Beckham is all about and is great at.
The former Spice Girl debuted her new fashion collection to several fashion editors on Monday and also showcased her bold new hairstyle. The hairstyle was different from her short smooth crop. Instead she was sporting a short spiky crop.

Julia Roberts is working with the Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani to help raise money in the fight against AIDS in Africa. Together they are designing a T-shirt that will be sold under the “Red” label.
The actress has drawn the symbolic tree of life with the words “revolution.evolution.devotion” arching over its foliage. The words are behind the acronym for “Red,” the name of a product-branding alliance to raise money for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.

Adama Kai - a fashion designer in Paris and New York - has put together a photo-shoot to help promote her new company - Aschobi Designs. At only 25 - Kai has built a truly grand company with styles and designs that are well known worldwide. Her photo-shoot consisted of young women carrying corn and other supplies on their heads stop to look at a beautiful model in a small, blue dress as she strikes a pose. The clothes shop she is promoting is in Sierra Leone’s capital.

When we think of Sears we think of appliances and tools - but not clothes. Yet, they have always been in the business of selling clothes and they are advertising this more then ever. They are using the New York September fashion week to create a cooler and more trendier image.
Sears, Roebuck and Co, a subsidiary of Sears Holdings Corp, said on Wednesday that it will unveil a lifestyle exhibit on September 10 in New York’s Bryant Park, where fashion’s biggest names parade their spring collections on catwalks set up under big, white tents.
